Step into a dark and eerie world where survival depends on your reflexes and strategy. In this intense top-down arcade shooter, you play as a lone warrior trapped in an endless battle against his worst nightmare—spiders!

Will you rise after each defeat and come back stronger? Or are you afraid that the spiders might do the same?

Controls:
W,S,A,D - Move
SPACE - Hold to reverse bullet rotation
ESC - Skip (or… maybe not?)

Survival Tips:
Keep moving! Standing still makes you an easy target.
Upgrade wisely! Your survival depends on it.
Watch out for spider webs! They will slow you down, making you vulnerable to attacks.

Actual Tips (Spoilers!)
You earn money by hitting the boss and by surviving each second.
Upgrades that help you earn money by hitting the boss:
increase fire rate (Left skill tree, unlocked after buying "Increase Player Damage")
one more bullet (Top skill tree, unlocked after buying "More Time")
Upgrades that help you earn money by surviving longer:
increase player speed (Main upgrade)
more hp (Down skill tree)
(Upgrading fog may be helpful for dodging!)

Love the visuals on this one! Did you use vector graphics for this game?

The progression with the upgrade system is quite nice. It's what made mee keep playing. But the early stage of the game feels to much of a grind to be honest. Also the shooting mechanic is a bit weird as there is so little control over it. It's already hard enought trying to dodge all the attacks. I felt no much use in the ability to reverse my aim direction. I would try for this game to have the bullets go in a steady direction, where the direction can be rotated holding the left and right mouse buttons or mouse movement. This instead of having it rotate on its own with only the ability to reverse the rotation. In addition add an upgrade to increase aim speed.

The sounds and music were quite nice as well, though it took me a while to figure out what each sound means.

Overall this game feels really polished.

Thanks for the feedback!

Yes, the graphics are vector-based—I made them myself in Inkscape.

The shooting mechanic actually comes from the original idea for the game. It was supposed to be part of a boss rush game jam with the theme 'spin.' I didn’t finish it in time for the jam, but I kept the mechanic because I felt it made the game stand out a bit and gave it a unique feel compared to other games.

Thanks again for your feedback, it really means a lot to hear opinions on my work!

I've never worked with vector graphics. Maybe I should try it some time. I think your game will do well on the jam.
